Who We Are

The Beginning
North Star Building Systems came of age in the fall of 1995, with production starting in Marshall, Minn., in January 1996. Due to our quick growth and reputation as a leader in modular homes, we purchased a second production plant in Tracy, Minn. in 1998. Originally, production in Tracy was for overflow and specialty production three seasons out of the year. With the company's growth, North Star increased production in the Tracy plant in 2003. Today, we build our quality homes in two production facilities year round.

We've known for awhile that building modular or pre-built homes is the best and most efficient way to build. That's why we combine the efficiences and benefits of factory building with custom floor plans and designs. Modular isn't dull and it isn't cheap; in fact, modular is every bit as good as site-built and in some ways even better. Let North Star show you what we've discovered about modular homes.
